IJ17817: PROBLEMS CALLING NON-XPLINK NATIVE ON Z/OS 31BIT

Error description

• Error Message: CEE3585E The transition from XPLINK linkage
  conventions to Language Environment standard linkage conventions
  could not be performed. The transition routine CEEVRONU could
  not locate the information required to perform the transition or
  the information was not valid.
  OR
  incorrect results/behaviour resulting from incorrect
  parameter/return value passing.

  This problem is specific to z/OS 31bit SDKs. It can only happen
  when doing a JNI call to a non-XPLINK compiled native.
  This problem only exists in Java 8 SR5 FP37
  

Local fix

Problem summary

• A change to the address calculation for the Call Descriptor
  offset for a non-XPLINK call was inadvertently made. Under
  certain alignments the offset no longer points to the start of
  the Call Descriptor, which means the Language Environment will
  not read the correct information and either complain or
  incorrectly handle the parameters/return value.
