Local fix

Problem summary

  • Java searches monospaced, SansSerif and serif fonts using
linux's fontconfig feature. Linux fontconfig is designed to
locate fonts within the system and select them according to
requirements specified by applications. Currently, when all the
above fonts are missing, Java calls a fallback feature. However
if one of the above font is missing, then an Exception is
thrown. This issue was raised in OpenJDK bug-id JDK-8188030

Problem conclusion

  • Java now calls the fallback feature if linux's fontconfig
feature could not find either the monospaced, SansSerif or serif
    fonts.
