APAR status

Error description

  • Error Message: keytool -list command when run in Swedish locale
results in:
Keystore-typ: jks
Keystore-leverantör: IBMJCE


keytool error (likely untranslated):
java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: unknown format type: antal
.

Local fix

  • Switch to English locale before running keytool -list command

Problem summary

  • Swedish translation files used by keytool had message formatting
values translated from English to Swedish in error.

Problem conclusion

  • Swedish translation file Resources_sv.java was updated to
prevent the "unknown format type" error.
A fix is made to IBMJCE

JVMs affected: Java 7.0, Java 727 and Java 8
The fix was delivered for Java 7.0 SR10FP40, Java 727 SR4FP40

20181210-209 (7.0) and 20181206-205 (8.0)
.
