• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Error Description: The Tivoli Storage Manager for Virtual
  Environments plugin may fail to connect to the vCenter server
  after the vCenter server is upgraded to 5.1 update 2 Build
  1473063 from 16 JAN 2014.  While the plugin cannot be accessed,
  scheduled backups continue to run.
  
  Tivoli Storage Manager Versions Affected: Tivoli Storage Manager
  for Virtual Environments  63W, 63L, 64W, 64L and Flash Copy
  Manager 3.1, 3.2
  
  Customer/L2 Diagnostics:  Trying to use the plugin after cVenter
  is upgraded may result in the following errors.
  
  GVM0025I Successfully determined which product or products are
  installed.
  GVM0020E A connection with the vCenter server could not be
  established.
  
  Trying to unregister or reregister the plug in may result in the
  following messages being seen.
  
  faultString: java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused:
  connect
  
  faultString: javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException: Received fatal
  alert: handshake_failure
  
  Initial Impact: Medium

Local fix

• Later versions do not expireince this issue.  Upgrade to Tivoli
  Storage Manager for Virtual Environments 7.1

Problem conclusion

  vCenter Server to use TLS protocol instead of SSL protocol
