    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:                                         *
    * | release  | 5.2.1-TIV-TPC-FP0000 - target 1Q 2014 |         *
    *                                                              *
    * http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?&uid=swg21320822   *
    *                                                              *
    * The target dates for future fix packs do not represent a *
    * formal                                                       *
    * commitment by IBM. The dates are subject to change without *
    * notice.                                                      *
    *                                                              *
    * The issue here is that the SVC Practice session types (GM *
    * and MM) put the pairs for the H2-I2 sequence in the reverse *
    * (or "flipped") order. The volumes are inserted in the H2-I2 *
    * order in the internal datastore, therefore, places in the *
    * code that use this data directly show the information *
    * correctly, but places that go to the pairs will show the *
    * volumes in the wrong place. This is true for places in the *
    * code that go to the pair repository. There is code in the *
    * GUI to account for this behavior, but in this case it was *
    * not used.                                                    *
    *                                                              *
    * Specifically, with the CopySets page, there was code *
    * introduced to use the pair repository instead of the table *
    * to increase performance. The new code didn't take into *
    * account the "flipped" case in the SVC practice sessions. *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    * Upgrade to get a fix.                                        *
    ****************************************************************

Problem conclusion

  • The role pair information is now properly displayed and the
    correct volume IDs are shown on in the following places:
            a. The Session Copy Sets page
            b. The export CSV file
            c. The session_config_*.log file in the log package
