IC98633: IIB V9.0 : NULLPOINTEREXCEPTION WHEN DESTROYING AN IMS CONNECTION

Error description

• When trying to destroy an IMS connection a NullPointerException
  is thrown by the IMS Transaction Manager Resource Adapter (TRMA)
  code. There are two points where we destroy an IMS connection
  and therefore see this error:
  
  1. EG shutdown - the error can be seen in syslog
  
  2. When using the ConnectionIdleTimeoutSec configurable service
  option, when this is set we destroy the connection if it has
  been idle for longer than the value set for this property. In
  this scenario we do the check for idle connections at the point
  a new request is received so the below exception causes the
  request to fail and roll back.

Problem conclusion

• The IMS TMRA code in the product has been upgraded to include
  a fix for the problem, and the problem no longer occurs.
