Error description

  • TPC 5.2 standalone/java-based GUI lacks discovery job
    definitions for CIMOM and VMware VI data source.  Previous TPC
    versions included these job definitions in the standalone GUI
    but they were removed in 5.2; need to be added back for 5.2
    environments.
    RECREATE STEPS:
    Navigate to Administrative Services - Discovery.  Observe that
    CIMOM and VMWare VI Data Source discovery job definition
    headings are missing.

Problem conclusion

  • With this APAR change, we have re-enabled the "CIMOM" and
    "VMware VI Data Source" nodes under (a) the "Admin. Services ->
    Discovery" node and (b) in the Job Management panel.
    
    The fix for this APAR is targeted for the following maintenance
    package:
