Error description

  • Enterprise Replication allows the creation of a replicate on a
table containing an lvarchar column and the addition of
participants to be added when the target's column length is
shorter than the table from which the master replicate was
created. This can lead to memory corruption because column
lengths are not being checked on lvarchar columns by the target
    server.

Since this is memory corruption due to out of bounds memory
writes, the results may vary. Here are a couple stacks seen:

    afstack
    afhandler
    afwarn_interface
    mt_shm_malloc_segid
    mt_malloc
    cdr_mt_shm_malloc
    cdr_mt_shm_realloc
    dsiGetLocalRow
    dsiCheckCollision
    dsiProcessRow
    dsiResolverThread
    cdrTrampolineThread
    th_init_initgls
    startup

    afstack
    afhandler
    affail_interface
    mt_shm_malloc_segid
    mt_malloc
    cdr_mt_shm_malloc
    rmStreamOpen
    rmiCreateDSPreLocks
    rmiGetNextPendingTxn
    rmNextMsg
    dsiResolverThread
    cdrTrampolineThread
    th_init_initgls
    startup
