IC96805: INCORRECT COEFFICIENTS WHEN TIMESERIES TOOLKIT OPERATORS ARIMA, LPC AND DSPFILTER GET MULTIPLE MONITOR CONTROL SIGNALS

APAR status

  • Closed as fixed if next.

Error description

  • Timeseries Toolkit operators such as ARIMA, LPC, VAR, and
DSPFilter support the use of an optional input control port.
The "monitor" control signal will submit the coefficients to
the optional monitor output port for later use. If multiple
monitor control signals are passed to an operator, however, the
operator returns the old coefficients. This problem occurs
because the old coefficients are not cleared before a new set
of coefficients are read from the model.

Local fix

  • There is no work-around for this defect.

Problem summary

  • Users Affected: Users who develop applications that use monitor
control signals with operators LPC, ARIMA and DSPFilter in the
    Timeseries Toolkit.

    Problem Description: See Error Description.

Problem Conclusion: This problem is fixed in Version 3.1 Fix
Pack 1 and later fix packs.
