Error description

  • A NullPointerException is observed during server startup when
the following preload variable is set:

 com.ibm.websphere.sibx.mediation.preload.*.* = 1

This results in failure of mediation module preloading. The

Users of WebSphere Enterprise Servcie Bus and Business Process
Manager v7.5.1 and v8 who use preloading during server startup

PROBLEM SUMMARY:
The code would look for the display name of a node without first
confirming that the node was correctly set. This would lead to a
NullPointerException being thrown when the node was null.

Problem conclusion

  • The code was changed to check that the node is not null before
getting the display name


This code fix was targeted to be included in the following fix
packs:

 7.5.1 Fix Pack 2 (v7.5.1.2)
 8.0.1 Fix Pack 3 (v8.0.1.3)
