On startup the TPC-R server will attempt to resolve the connection names that are attached. If the SVC / V7000 cluster names contain a subset of characters of another device, the device will be marked with the name of the device with the superset of characters. This will cause problem creating new sessions that use the device.

The dates are subject to change without notice. On startup or refresh of a device config, the TPC-R Server will attempt to resolve the connection names of devices that are attached. If the SVC / V7000 / Unified device cluster name is a subset of another devices cluster device name problems will occur. E.g. the cluster names "SVC" and "SVC_01" would experience this issue because the complete name "SVC" is a substring of the other name "SVC_01". The device will be marked with the name of the device with the superset of characters. Copysets cannot be added nor any functions that attempt to use the device. It is in essence hidden from the user.
The code was changed to allow names that contain subsets of another device names. The product can now determine the difference between the similarly named devices.
