APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • A fetch of cached entry whose TTL expired might go into the
'pending' state indefinitely, causing the cache to not be used
    for that resource.

Local fix

  • Use dp:url-open() instead of document() extension function.

Problem summary

  • Affected are DataPower services using the document() standard
XSLT function to access remote documents via HTTP or HTTPS, with
    document cache enabled.

Some of the cached documents accessed via document() function
might fail to refresh on expiration. Document cache status will
show them permanently in "pending" state.
