Error description
A user without the "Manage cloud resources (Full permission)" authority is not able to manage, stop or start a virtual application virtual machine that is deployed as part of the shared services scaling policy. The virtual application creator and any users that were granted access that do not have "Manage cloud resources (Full permission)" authority can not manage the virtual machines deployed as part of the shared service scaling policy.
Local fix
Problem summary
The problem was in the code managing permission for new virtual machines (VMs) added during scaling policy elastic growth. The code now grants permission to the user that created the underlying virtual application pattern for each newly created VM. Users with "Manage cloud resources (Full permission)" authority can also manage the VMs. This fix does not grant access to any additional users that have been granted access to the virtual machine.
Problem conclusion
Temporary fix
