APAR status

  • Closed as fixed if next.

Error description

  • When a 'misconfigured' convert action specifies NULL as the
INPUT and NULL as the OUTPUT - DataPower will restart.

Although this is a 'misconfiguraion' as NULL should not be
acted on by a convert action - DataPower should throw and
exception error rather then a restart.

Local fix

  • Code convert action with appropriate INPUT and OUTPUT context.

Problem summary

  • Fix will be available in next major releases

Problem conclusion

Temporary fix

  • Set a proper output context for the Convert Action.
