IC91937: CLOSING DOCUMENT BROWSER WINDOW CAUSES EDIMGR.EXE TO CRASH
Closed as program error.
After viewing the Gentran Data from any of the document browsers (Out Document, In Document, ?Out Document, ?In Document, Interchange, etc.) Edimgr.exe will crash when you try to close the browser window. For example if you are viewing Gentran Data from the Out Documents browser, you can close the document viewer window which contains the raw EDI data without it crashing. When you click to close the Out Documents window though, a pop-up comes up that tells you "IBM Sterling Gentran:Server for Microsoft Windows has stopped working."
RTC - 374460 CF/CF Circumvention: This issue seems to happen only when an external Document Viewer is being used. If you use the default viewer built into Gentran:Server it does not cause the Gentran desktop to crash. To remove the external document viewer: 1) Go to *Options* > *Preferences* 2) Select the *Document Viewer* tab 3) Erase what is in the "Text editor for viewing files" field 4) Click *OK*
Users Affected: Customers running GSW 5.3.1 Closing Document browser window causes Edimgr.exe to crash
Our temp file cleanup routine would mistakely try to delete a temp file again after it had already been deleted. We have adjusted our cleanup routine and now correctly move from one file in the list to the next in our list. Delivered In: 220.127.116.11
