This APAR only applies to 7198, 7199 and 4195 new appliances purchased using Passport Advantage. Existing appliances (not purchased through Passport Advantage) are not impacted by this problem. If you perform a boot reflash/reinitialize operation on an appliance, all inactive license files will be deleted. If you later purchase a new license feature upgrade using Passport Advantage, you will need to contact IBM DataPower support to install your new license feature.

Reinitializing an appliance can cause un-activated licenses to be deleted, which affects manufacturing of appliances for Passport Advantage.
