Error description

  • The REPORT functionality of ISQL returns wrong results. The
    conditions are below.

    - locales are set to ja_jp.sjis-s or ja_jp.sjis.
    - stty of terminals are set:
      kill = @, -echok -echoke
    - matches/like condition with:
      *NNN*, the last N is multi-byte character and consist of
    0xXX40.

    When the report displays the prompt like 'Enter name =' and
    *NNN* mentioned above is entered,
    all of the characters except the last '*' is killed (removed)
    and only '*' is sent as the matches
    condition to the server then the server returns all of the data
    because of '*' condition.
    It demonstrates that the REPORT function does not treat the
    character @ that is 0x40 well. The Query function
    of ISQL or Dbaccess can return the correct result if the same
    condition is specified in a query.
