APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Requirement to export XSD files from an Application or Library
to the external file system without including the SAP Metadata
    import statement

Local fix

  • After exporting the XSDs, manually remove the
    http://www.ibm.com/xmlns/prod/websphere/j2ca/sap/metadata import
from the exported XSDs. A script could potentially be written to
automate the removal of the imports.

Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    USERS AFFECTED:
All users of WebSphere Message Broker Toolkit V8.0 who
generate SAP XSDs and who need to validate the SAP XSDs
    outside of the toolkit.

    Platforms affected:
    MultiPlatform

    ****************************************************************
    PROBLEM SUMMARY:
    Generated SAP XSDs contain a
    http://www.ibm.com/xmlns/prod/websphere/j2ca/sap/metadata import
statement that does not specify a schema location. This
validates fine within WebSphere Message Broker Toolkit, but
not necessarily in third-party tools outside of the toolkit.
Third-party tools users can experience validation errors.

Problem conclusion

  • WebSphere Message Broker Toolkit has been modified so that there
is now a new 'Export XSD files from Application' action and a
new 'Export XSD files from Library' action available on the
context menu of an application or library in the Broker
Development view of the Broker Application Development
perspective. These actions export the XSDs in an application
or library to the file system with the
    http://www.ibm.com/xmlns/prod/websphere/j2ca/sap/metadata import
statement removed since it is not needed outside of Message
    Broker.
