Error description

  • During Tivoli Storage Manager for Mail: Data Protection for
Microsoft Exchange Server 6.4 backup, restore, or query
operations, the DAG name may be obtained from the Failover
Cluster API. The 6.4 release included the functionality to
continue the backup/restore/query in those cases where the
    PowerShell command <Get-DatabaseAvailabilityGroup -Status>
failed. However, the following error is seen:
"An Active Manager operation failed with a transient error.
Please retry the operation. Error: Active Manager RPC
operation 'GetDeferredRecoveryEntries' is not implemented on
server 'EXCHSERVER1'. This may be due to an Exchange version
      mismatch."
The processing should proceed, but in this case it fails even
though the DAG name has been successfully found using the
    Failover Cluster API.
    .
A trace of the problem will show that PowerShell failure to get
the DAG name and then the successful return of the DAG name via
    the API.

operation in cases where the Exchange 2010 Server DAG name was
successfully obtained via the Microsoft Cluster API .
