IC90578: DB2 CONNECT SERVER CONNECTION CONCENTRATOR MAY FAIL TO RE-ESTABLISH CONNECTION OR TRUSTED CONNECTION.

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• DB2 Connect server's Connection Concentrator may fail to
  re-establish connection or  Trusted Connection using  encrypted
  security mechanism against zDB2 V 10 and higher server.
  
  DB2 on zOS returns authentication failure, may log 00F30072 &
  00F30089. The failure is caused because DB2Connect server is
  incorrectly using EBCDIC char manager even though the original
  connection is used Unicode char manager. Application may get
  SQLCODE 1224, 30082.
  
  DB2 Connect Server users using encrypted security mechanisms get
  affected.
  

Local fix

• Disable Connection Concentrator on the DB2 Connect server.
