IC90542: CANNOT SERIALIZE XML ELEMENT WITH XSI:TYPE BASE64BINARY IN MRM

Error description

• MRM cannot parse an XML element where the type is supplied by
  (xs:any) or overridden by an xsi:type attribute, where the type
  specified is base64Binary. Serialization fails as the broker
  attempts to serialize the base64 value as a hexadecimal string.

  USERS AFFECTED:
  All users of WebSphere Message Broker using the MRM XML domain
  to serialize base64 encoded binary data.

  z/OS, MultiPlatform

  PROBLEM SUMMARY:
  When the type of the base64 encoded element is not supplied by
  the XML schema (either using an xs:any element or the type is
  overridden using an xsi:type attribute), the MRM XML domain will
  serialize the element in question as hex instead of base64.
  

Problem conclusion

• WebSphere Message Broker has been modified to correctly
  serialize the elements in question using base64 encoding.
