IC90469: PCOM J6.0.5 DATA XFER FROM IBM I TO PC, THE SYSTEM NAME IS DISPLAYED AS BLANK.

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Data Xfer from IBM i to PC, the system name is displayed as
  blank with EE connection. It is possible to select the system
  name form pull-down menu.
  Telnet and IEEE802.2 connection, it is displayed as correctly.

  When using Data Transfer with a EE connection, the System Name
  list is empty. If the user selects the drop down list, the
  System Name appears at the 2nd postion, but the 1st position is
  empty. This error does not occur when using a LLC2 or TCP/IP
  connection.
  

Problem conclusion

• PCSFT5.EXE has been changed to correct the Data Transfer drop
  down list. In a conditional statement for SNA connections, if
  the select System Name combo box fails, the return code is
  negative and it causes this problem. The solution is to not
  perform the combo box selection function when the default System
  Name is empty and the return code for checking the combo box
  selection needs to be initialized.
