IC90433: PATCH INDICATOR IN REGISTRY IS NOT RESET WHEN UPGRADING TO VERSION 5.3.1

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Error Description:
  Installing 5.3.1 does not reset the Patch level entry in the
  Gentran Server registry
  (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Sterling
  Commerce\GENTRAN\Server\5.3.1\PatchRevision).
  If Gentran Administrator is run after upgrading to 5.3.1 it
  could report that a patch is installed for 5.3.1 when there is
  no patch installed.

  This will get very confusing once patches start being released
  for version 5.3.1.

Problem summary

• The 5.3.1 install does not remove previous patch number from the
  registry after an upgrade
  

Problem conclusion

• The 5.3.1.0 install now writes 'Patch 0' to the registry and the
  about boxes when doing a create, upgrade, or join.  Future GSW
  releases will delete the patch number from the registry after an
  upgrade.
