IC90402: "LABEL LIBVOLUME" GENERATES MESSAGE ANR9999D_3254895215 WHEN A VOLUME WAS LABELED BEFORE BY ANOTHER APPLICATION

Error description

• Using "label libvolume" command generates an error message when
  a volume was previously labeled by an application other than
  Tivoli Storage Manager.
  
  
  In the Tivoli Storage Manager actlog the following messages are
  logged:

  A Tivoli Storage Manager server  trace with traceflags PVR MMS
  NA PVRIO PVRNOIO shows following:

  During "label libvolume" command Tivoli Storage Manager reads
  the first block of the tape volume to make sure that the volume
  can be labeled.
  If there is an unknown label this error message is generated. At
  the end the volume is successfully labeled (see message
  ANR8810I) so the message
  ANR9999D_3254895215 can be ignored.
