Error description
Access log files were accumulating in the /var/log/purescale/ipas.server directory. Customer noticed problems deploying virtual systems. Error reported in logs was: CWZIP9001E("[FileSystems: WatchdogException]") Detailed message was "com.ibm.purescale.watchdog.WatchdogException: File system at /var/log is xx% full".
Local fix
Problem summary
On a heavily used system the normal internal process logging can generate a large number of log files. If directory space becomes low deployment processing can be effected.
Problem conclusion
An additional maintenance job has been defined that checks for the number of log files that have been generated and delete the oldest files before they can become a problem.
