IC89635: CAN NOT DESELECT PREVIOUSLY BUILT MESSAGE SETS AFTER MIGRATING TO APPLICATION OR LIBRARY

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When a V7 project is migrated to the Application or library
  then the BAR file does not show the Msets previously selected in
  V7. So user can not de-select the Msets on the prepare tab like
  they can with the flows.
  

Local fix

• The BAR file needs to be updated to show all the selected
  resources in the prepare tab even after these resources are
  mograted to be under the application or library scope. User
  should be able to view the message sets that were selectefd
  before the migration and deselect them on the prepare
  tab.
  

Problem summary

  USERS AFFECTED:
  All users of WebSphere Message Broker Toolkit who re-use a BAR
  file in V8.0 which was built in V7.0.
  
  Users migrate the flow project to the libraries and applications
  and want to be able to rebuild the V7.0 BAR file by removing
  independently deployed resources and adding libraries and
  applications.
  
  
  Platforms affected:
  MultiPlatform

  PROBLEM SUMMARY:
  When the V7.0 BAR file is opened in V8.0 after the flow projects
  are migrated to the applications and libraries, the previously
  deployed resources from the flow projects are not visible on the
  "Prepare" tab of the BAR editor. So a user cannot de-select
  them. Hence the resources are rebuilt as independent when the
  BAR is rebuilt.
  

Problem conclusion

• WebSphere Message Broker Toolkit has been modified so that the
  BAR editor will allow users to de-select the previously built
  resources even when the resources are not part of the
  libraries or applications. Once the resources are de-selected
  and the BAR is rebuilt, these independent resources are not
  shown on the "Prepare" tab anymore and are not added to the
  BAR when the BAR is recompiled.
