Error description

  • The issue was noticed when virtual system deployments were stuck
    in the registration phase of deployment.
    Investigation of the job queue determined that the jobs were not
    progressing.
    
    Trace file contained:
    job.queue  | Blocking job [job number] Waiting for jobs to stop
    

Local fix

Problem summary

  • When the backup job runs it blocks any new jobs from starting
    until it completes. It also must wait for current jobs to
    complete before it starts. There was a deadlock situation
    occurring.
    

Problem conclusion

  • The deadlock situation was resolved in the backup code.
