Error description
When testing SEAS user exit for authentication we find that the "clientId" variable in the request (passed in from SSP) is not what it should be. According to documentation, it should contain SSP's proxy adapter name: http://pic.dhe.ibm.com/infocenter/seas/v2r4m1/topic/com.ibm.help .
Local fix
n/a
Problem summary
SSP not sending correct "clientID" value to SEAS user exit for authentication When running Sterling Secure Proxy (SSP) and using the Sterling External Authentication Server (SEAS) user exit for validation, the "ClientId" variable passed from SSP contains the wrong value. It contains the SSP sessionid, while the SEAS documentation says that it should contain the name of the SSP protocol adapter name.
Problem conclusion
Update SSP to correctly pass the protocol adapter name in the ClientID field to SEAS.
Temporary fix
