IC89518: MISSING 3RD ELEMENT IN THE AK1 SEGMENT OF 997 CAUSES ERROR.

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Gentran Server for Microsoft Windows release 5.1
  
  The BRK997 was not updated after the 3rd element of the AK1
  segment was added to the standard in the 004041 release.
  
  This caused the translator to issue the Too Many elements error
  when processing the 005010 997.
  
  This issue was observed in release 5.2 and 5.3
  

Local fix

• STRTC 362804
  WW/WW
  
  The 3rd element could be copied into existing BRK997 from a new
  997 map that has version 004041 or higher. Then the element
  would need activated, the map saved and compiled, and
  registered.
  

Problem summary

  Problem Description: Too Many Elements when processing inbound
  997 005010 for the AK1 segment.
  

Problem conclusion

• Resolution Summary:
  Brk997 map was missing the AK103 segment which is an option
  segment that was added in standard version 004041.  This was
  added to
  the brk997.map which can be found in the support folder of the
  patch install under:
       Maps > Special > Source > Brk997_AK103.map.
  The tpl file can be found in the support folder under:
       Maps > Special > Compiled > brk997_AK103.tpl.
  Support also changed the min field value on the output side of
  the map for fields 10 & 12 from 1 to 0.
