Fix Pack 5.1.1.1 (April 2013) for Tivoli Storage Productivity Center

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• During 96 hour long run of 5 deploys then 5 deletes repeated,
  deployments began to fail consistently with TPCServerException:
  HWN021503E.
  
  Deploys first started to fail with SVSException: Host to LUN
  Attach is failed, then went consistently to TPCServerException:
  HWN021503E.
  
  The TPC log directory fills up and is unable to create
  any more files until we clean the directory.

  /opt/IBM/TPC/device/log/epm
  # ls | wc

Local fix

• Access the root file system and remove older directories and
  logs from the /opt/IBM/TPC/Device/log/epm directory.

Problem conclusion

• A change has been made to better handle a large number of
  directories and logs getting created due to a large number of
  requests in a short time.  The fix for this APAR is targeted
  for the following maintenance package:
