APAR status

Error description

  • LOG EVENT statement should write the record to user trace only
    if user tracing is enabled. In WMB V8, even if the user
    tracing is
    disabled LOG EVENT statement writes a record to the user trace.

    All users of WebSphere Message Broker V8.0 or higher using the
    LOG EVENT statement in ESQL code.
    
    
    Platforms affected:
    z/OS, MultiPlatform

    PROBLEM SUMMARY:
    The LOG EVENT statement was writing a record to user trace
    even when user trace was disabled.
    

Problem conclusion

  • WebSphere Message Broker has been modified so that the LOG EVENT
    statement writes a record to user trace only if user trace is
    enabled.
