Error description

  • ENVIRONMENT: HATS v8.0.3

The ERASEOF key does not work correctly.

This occurs when the Enable Auto Advance function is set to true
and pressing the ERASEOF key the data in the next field gets
deleted. Per Customer's Sample: Input field 1 : ABCDEFGH*
    Input field 2 : ABCDEF (ABCDEFGH=SBCS, *=Cursor position) There
are the 2 fields. Those are DBCS only fields. The cursor
position is in the upside field. ERASEOF has been assigned to
    ESC key on KBS.js. ■CODE_ESC, 0, 0, 0, '■eraseeof' If ERASEOF
is pressed, then the data of the lower field is deleted.

Result: Input field 1 : ABCDEFGH* Input field 2 : * It seems
that eraseeof is working, after AutoAdvance works.

Local fix

Problem summary

  • If enabling the Auto Advance function, and user presses the
eraseEOF key on last position of field,
the auto advance process will do field first, then the eraseEOF
function will impact to the next field.

Problem conclusion

  • Add checking for eraseEOF and erasefld to solve this problem.
