Error description
Deployments fail and logs contains the following message: Failure communicating with data store: IaaSApplicationException: CWZIP1996E Datastore not found or not connected to ESX host Investigation finds that there are LUNs (logical unit numbers) in the environment that do not physically exist.
Local fix
Problem summary
The PureApplication System had references to LUN disks that were lost due to failures or manual changes to the storage. This caused the PureApplication System to try to deploy a virtual machine to a LUN that did not exist.
Problem conclusion
The code now verifies that all metadata from LUN's belonging to a cloud group are cleaned up when appropriate.
