Local fix

Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    USERS AFFECTED:
    All users of WebSphere Message Broker using ESQL to create an
    XML declaration using the XMLNSC domain.

    Platforms affected:
    z/OS, MultiPlatform

    ****************************************************************
    PROBLEM SUMMARY:
    The sample ESQL code for creating an XML declaration using the
    XMLNSC domain under topic ac67180_ ("XMLNSC: The XML
    declaration"), whilst valid, is inconsistent with the runtime
    behaviour of the XMLNSC parser and Java example provided.
    The sample ESQL code provided does not give the XmlDeclaration
    element a name, but the XMLNSC parser and Java example do.

Problem conclusion

  • The WebSphere Message Broker Infocenter will be updated as
    follows:

    Topic ac67180 ("XMLNSC: The XML declaration"):

    Change ESQL code example as follows:

    CREATE FIRSTCHILD OF OutputRoot.XMLNSC TYPE
    XMLNSC.XmlDeclaration NAME 'XmlDeclaration';
    SET
    OutputRoot.XMLNSC.(XMLNSC.XmlDeclaration)*.(XMLNSC.Attribute)Ver
    sion = '1.0';
    SET
    OutputRoot.XMLNSC.(XMLNSC.XmlDeclaration)*.(XMLNSC.Attribute)Enc
    oding = 'UTF-8';
    SET
    OutputRoot.XMLNSC.(XMLNSC.XmlDeclaration)*.(XMLNSC.Attribute)Sta
    ndAlone = 'yes';
