APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When entering 30-Extract from Comm Queue, it changes the batch
status to RN or Q immediately while the command is displayed,
it should not change the status until after the command is
executed.  Data can inadvertantly be processed while this
command is being displayed on the screen.

Local fix

  • run EXTRACT command from command line, and/or execute the
EXTRACT command immediately, and/or shut down other processing
until EXTRACT command is complete.

Problem summary

  • Some times batches of data were being reprocessed

Problem conclusion

  • The batch status for the online extract was being modified prior
to executing the EXTRACT command.

Temporary fix
