IC88470: HSM FOR WINDOWS MIGRATION RUNNING ON CLUSTER OR MAPPED VOLUME DOES NOT UPDATE SOME FILE ATTRIBUTES

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• HSM for Windows does not migrate files or update stub files,
  that are already stored on the TSM server, if only attributes
  have changed in some environments. Environments are cluster
  nodes and volumes, that have been mapped using the HSM
  for Windows hardware volume mapping feature. Changed file
  attributes are file times, file attribute bits and
  file-object-id. The problem does not occur if file security or
  file content have been modified.
  This defect does not affect data integrity.
  
  Affected Products:
  Tivoli Storage Manager HSM for Windows versions 6.3.0.0 and
  6.3.0.1.
  
  Customer/L2 diagnostics:
  Check the trace file of the migrating application (dsmgui.log or
  dsmclc.log). Search for entries like
