IC88053: EMAILOUTPUT NODE IGNORES THE SECURITYIDENTITY IN THE CONFIGURABLE SERVICE

Error description

• If an EmailOutput node is configured with an SMTP configurable
  Service which has a SecurityIdentity, then the node does not
  attempt to authenticate to the SMTP server using the userName
  and password configured in the SecurityIdentity.

Problem summary

  USERS AFFECTED:
  All users of WebSphere Message Broker 7.0.0.0 or higher with
  flows containing the EmailOutput Node.
  
  
  Platforms affected:
  z/OS, MultiPlatform

  PROBLEM SUMMARY:
  The EmailOutput Node ignores the SecurityIdentity configured
  in the SMTP configurable service and authentication is attempted
  only if the SecurityIdentity is configured in the node
  properties or through the LocalEnvironment.
  

Problem conclusion

• WebSphere Message Broker has been modified so that the
  EmailOutput Node uses the SecurityIdentity configured in the
  SMTP configurable service. The order of precedence when the
  SecurityIdentity is present in multiple place is:
  
  1) LocalEnvironment
  2) ConfigurableService
  3) Node Properties
