Error description

  • Processing XML input with Transform Binary action from INPUT
    context in a Web Service Proxy results in parse error for
    request sizes greater than 4KB.
    
    This issue occurs when there is Transform Binary action with
    input context of INPUT in a Web Service Proxy rule.
    

Local fix

  • To work arund this issue:
    
    1) Insert a "normal" Transform action (with
        store:///identity.xsl) before the Transform Binary action
    2) Configure the new Transform action as follows:
        * set input context INPUT
        * set output context to PIPE
    3) Change input context of Transform Binary action to PIPE

  • Affected is the use of a Web Service Proxy with a Transform
    Binary action.
    
    In case the input context of the Transform Binary action is
    INPUT and request size is greater than 4KB, a parse error
    occurs.
