Hang in notes 8.51 all clients, xp sp3, all english releases. For a repair reason the caller renamed the workspace folder on a client and restarted notes which then created this folder new. So far this has worked ok but in this call notes does not restart. Investigation shows that the caller has installed xtaf dictionaries as described in technote 1411732 and 1327842. With this dictionaries present the caller tried to rename the workspace and restart the client but it shows the splash screen, the password prompt and then hangs. The notes2.exe goes to about 54 % but nothing further happens. The workspace folder is present in the \lotus\notes\data folder. The issue was observed on a setup for all users for notes which means that the notes program folder and the notes data folder are located in c:\...Lotus\notes If this is a single user install the directory is installed on C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\IBM\Lotus... then the issue will not show.
