IC87665: FASTBACK SERVER RESET DURING CLEANUP WHEN COMMUNICATION FAILURE WITH DATA DEDUPE SERVICE

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• While the cleanup process is running, FastBack Server
  unexpectedly goes down when the communication error happens
  between the server and Data Deduplication service.
  
  The following errors are written in FAST_BACK_SERVER0nn.sf.

  This APAR doesn't address the cause of the communication
  failure, but is opened for the crash of FastBack Server.

  FastBack Client 6.1 for all supported Windows platform

  The crash occurred during an attempt to print out an error
  message with wrong parameter type.  Instead of passing 64 bits
  offset the pointer (32 bits) to the offset variable was passed,
  shifting left all following parameters and forcing a message
  formatter function to access an uninitialized memory.

• FastBack automatically restarts after the crash.
