Error description

  • When the IBM PureApplication System Customer Engineer's
service laptop is powered up or down the system generates
events that are classified with a severity of warning.

The event text is "Switch interface up ..." and "Switch
interface down ...". These events should be informational
instead of warnings.

Problem summary


    

  • The default severity for the power up and power down events
coming from the system were warnings.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • The event handler code was updated to parse out the laptop power
up and down events and set the message to an informational
severity.
