IC87098: PERFORMANCE PROBLEM WITH MQSILIST COMMAND

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When the mqsilist command is run against a broker with
  multiple execution groups and flows deployed, and with the
  default detailLevel value, the command takes a long time to
  complete.
  

Local fix

• Run mqsilist with -d 0 option.
  

Problem summary

  All users of WebSphere Message Broker who use the mqsilist

  PROBLEM SUMMARY:
  The mqsilist command when run with default "detailLevel (-d
  1)" on a broker with multiple execution groups with message
  flows deployed, takes a long time to run and generate output.
  The problem is that the command queries the broker for the
  message flows deployed even though the command does not
  display the results of these queries.
  

Problem conclusion

• WebSphere Message Broker has been modified so that the
  mqsilist command no longer queries the broker for the message
  flow information when run with a detail level of "1" therefore
  improving performance of the command.
