• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Deleting an instance at times does not release all resources.
  After the error occurs those non-released resources can block
  some system management tasks.
  

Local fix

Problem summary

• The IBM PureApplication System in this scenario was in an
  inconsistent state where the in-memory resource details did not
  match those of the internal system database. This resulted in
  certain system management tasks such as compute node
  re-assignment and IP address assignment being blocked.
  

Problem conclusion

• The code has been updated so that if there is an action on a
  resource that is not found in-memory then the internal database
  will be checked.
  
  If the resource is not found in the database then the code will
  return a "not found" return code.
