IC86639: FTP COMMUNICATION PROFILES SECURE CONNECTION PARM WITH *SSL PARM NOT CONVERTED, MOVES *DFT IN IT'S PLACE.GIFSGATE STREAM

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• During 3.6 Installation/Conversion, FTP communication profiles
  with the secure connection parm = *SSL are not getting
  converted, *DFT is being moved in it's place.  Correct
  conversion program to move the appropriate value from older
  releases into 3.6 release setup.
  
  GIFSGATE command, stream file code page parm (OUTCCSID) default
  should be *STDA rather than *STMF, correct this in both 3.5 and
  3.6
  

Local fix

• CMGCMD GIFSGATE for OUTCCSID parm from *STMF to *STDA
  Update FTP Comm profile Secure Connection parm to *SSL after
  upgrading
  

Problem summary

• The secure FTP fields were not being brought over in a 3.6
  conversion.  Also the GIFSGATE had an incorrect default value
  for the Stream File Code page
  

Problem conclusion

• Corrected the conversion program and changed the parameter on
  the GIFSGATE to *STDA from *STMF
