Error description
Incremental backup hangs when saving large disk managed by Windows HSM client. This happens because some migrated files need to be retrieved during the backup but there is a synchronization problem in the HSM plugin and that leads to a deadlock. Affected Products: Tivoli Storage Manager HSM for Windows version: 6.3.0.0 - 6.3.0.1 (inclusive), 6.1.0.0 - 6.1.5.1 (inclusive), the corresponding IBM Tivoli Storage Manager for Windows Backup-Archive Client versions are 6.1, 6.2 and 6.3. Customer/L2 Diagnostics : In actlog the session timeout : ANR0481W Session xxxx for node NODENAME (WinNT) terminated - client did not respond within 6000 seconds. In one of the HSM client logs ( dsmc.log, dsmagent.log dsmcsvc.log ) , the following message may be seen DSMC (4188:26D0) connectToFileSpace 12-05-21 17:50:52.270 E: INTERNAL: Not in critical setion: '0x0300005e (E: Event/timer/semaphore problem)'!
