IC86496: WHEN A SIGNATURE CHAGNE IS DETECTED, THE REPOSITORY SHOULD BE PUT IN 'LIMITED MODE'

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When a disk signature of a disk containing a repository changes,
  FastBack driver causes all data written to this disk to be
  discarded. The FastBack server fails to detect this situation
  and does not put the repository in 'limited mode'. As a result,
  it attempts to write snapshot data into the repository, and the
  data is lost, leaving the repository in an unstable state.
  
  After the fix, the server will report SIGNATURE_PROBLEM for
  repository-on-disk (disk signature in location.ini does not
  match signature on disk) or ACCESS_PROBLEM for
  repository-on-volume/folder (access for specified location is
  denied).
