APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • IAEM config utility is using sid but the dv-oracle-xa-plan.xml
    is using service name. If service name is the same as oracle sid
    then there is no issue.  But for Fidelity , customer is using
    oracle RAC so SID is difference then service name and need to
    update the config file manually
    

Local fix

  • 1. Stop Validator application component using the following link
    (logon with system/Discovery)
    http://localhost:9090/console/portal/Applications/Application
    EARs
    
    Find the line:
    
    com.ibm.infosphere/exerosdv/2.5.1/ear  or
    com.ibm.infosphere/exerosdv/2.5.1.2/ear
    
    Click Stop link
    
    2. Open DOS cmd prompt and go to
    %Discovery_Install_Folder%\Discovery Server\bin
    (By default is: C:\Program
    Files\IBM\InfoSphere\Discovery\Discovery Server\bin)
    
    run the following cmd to undeploy DVDS datasource
    
    deploy --user system --password Discovery --port 6338 undeploy
    DVDS
    
    3. Edit the following file in a text editor:
     dv-ora-xa-plan.xml
    
    : %Discovery_Install_Folder%\Discovery
    Server\var\DiscoveryConfig\dv-oracle-xa-plan.xml
    
    make sure the url are correct
    
    4. Redeploy DVDS data source in same folder as step 2 using the
    cmd below:
    
    deploy --user system --password Discovery --port 6338 deploy
    ../var/DiscoveryConfig/dv-ora-xa-plan.xml
    ../repository/org/tranql/tranql-connector-oracle-xa/1.5/tranql-c
    onnector-oracle-xa-1.5.rar
    5. Back to same UI as described at step 1
    
    Find the line
    
    com.ibm.infosphere/exerosdv/2.5.1/ear or
    com.ibm.infosphere/exerosdv/2.5.1.2/ear
    
    Click Start link
    
    6. Wait for the application component to start. Log out, go to
    validator dashboard at http://localhost:9090/validator/. Verify
    that you can log in as admin/admin
