Error description

• Tivoli Storage Manager for Mail: Data Protection for Microsoft
  Exchange might experience performance problems when opening an
  EDB file with a large number (100,000+) of folders. As a result,
  DP for Exchange may hang or take a long time to close /
  terminate. In these cases, the program will appear to close but
  the process actually continues to run for several minutes or
  more after
  

Local fix

• In this scenario, it is safe to kill the tdpexcc.exe process or
  mmc.exe process that is running the FlashCopy Manager Console
  after a few minutes if it takes Data Protection for Exchange too
  long to terminate on its own. A local fix is to use filters
  (especially the date/time filter) to reduce the number of
  folders to handle to less than 50,000.
