Error description

  • Problem description:
HSM for Windows does not retrieve and overwrite files with file
names, that end with a dollar sign, if these files already exist
in your file system. Command dsmfileinfo does not process files,
that end with a dollar sign.
In some situations HSM for Windows considers a file ending on a
dollar sign as a directory and appends a trailing backslash to
    it.

    Affected Products:
    HSM for Windows 6.1.0.0 - 6.1.5.0 (inclusive), 5.3.x.x, 5.4.x.x,
    5.5.x.x.

    Customer/L2 diagnostics (if applicable):
Check if the problem occurs specifically with files ending with
a dollar sign. Check the trace file of the retrieving
application (dsmgui.log or dsmclc.log), or dsmfileinfo
    (dsmfileinfo.log), respectively.

  • Rename or delete files with trailing dollar sign on your file
system before retrieving them. No local fix for dsmfileinfo
(despite from renaming the file before analysis).
