Error description
TPC probes run on SRAs complete but hang while attempting to update the TPC server's database. When jobs get stuck in this state they cannot be cancelled/stopped from the TPC server GUI. The Job Management screen shows the probe status of "completed with errors". To identify this specific bug, refer to the <tpc_install_dir>\data\log\server_00000x.log file(s) corresponding to the time when the probe was run, and look for the following null pointer exception messaging: 3/17/12 12:12:18 PM GEN0100E: Error processing request from host <FQHN>, for service <Agent>, request(4, 4) java.lang.NullPointerException at com.tivoli.itsrm.TStorm.server.svp.ProbeResultsHndlr.hasNetAppSM IS_Agent(ProbeResultsHndlr.java:2609) at com.tivoli.itsrm.TStorm.server.svp.ProbeResultsHndlr.getMissingD evices(ProbeResultsHndlr.java:2348) at com.tivoli.itsrm.TStorm.server.svp.ProbeResultsHndlr.saveResults (ProbeResultsHndlr.java:946) at com.tivoli.itsrm.TStorm.server.svp.ProbeResultsHndlr.handle(Prob eResultsHndlr.java:520) at com.tivoli.itsrm.server.RequestManager$RmThread.run(RequestManag er.java:499)
